A block of lead of density 11.3g/cm^3 measures 10 cm x 6cm x 4cm, given that the force of gravity is 10 Nkg^-1. Determine
a. The maximum pressure
b. The minimum pressure that it can exert on a horizontal surface.

a. Pressure maximum = force /minimum area
F = mg
=density x volume x gravity force
=11.3 x 1000 x (10/100)x(6/100) x(4/100) x 10
=27.12 N
P max =27.12 / (0.06x0.04)
= 11300 pa

b. P minimum = 27.12/(0.10 x 0.06)
= 4520pa
